MEET(ME) E.P. BY HESTOR DART LAUNCH PARTY

OVER / AT is pleased to present Hestor Dart’s debut E.P., meet(me). The album launch at the Old Hairdresser’s will feature a double bill with composer Phoenix Rousiamanis.
Dart’s practice explores trans possibilities within traditional song, as well as exploring the boundaries of the voice through experimental music. meet(me) is a series of one person duets, exploring solitude, internalised longing and the interrelation or cracks between musical genres.
The E.P. will be launched on the 30th of January in a double-headline with musician and composer Phoenix Rousiamanis. Expect haunting tunes and queer revelation.

About Hestor
Hestor Dart is a singer, musician and maker with an interest in expansive and ugly sound, traditional crafts and collaborative practice. Some current obsessions include weaving songs, trash music and the tale of True Thomas. They are one half of the duo loomeweight, with Patricia Auchterlonie.
Hestor is a founding member of The Ruffians, a new music collective with a taste for the experimental and the absurd. They are also a member of Vox Urbane, a vocal ensemble led by Helen Meyerhoff and Dan Ludford-Thomas, which launched in April 2023.
About Phoenix
Phoenix Rousiamanis is a composer of instrumental and electronic music, a songwriter and a performer. She usually composes around themes of folklore, queerness, nostalgia and magic and she is interested in creating genre-defying music that finds beauty in dark, violent and uncomfortable contexts. Her involvement in the trans community, interest in ballroom culture, voguing and activism are also integral in her artistic practice.
