Akashic Records present Ailie Ormston, official album launch for ‘Frames that lean, pictures that roam’ Special live set as a trio featuring guitar, electronics, double bass and cello. Ailie will be joined by Joanna Stark and Rhona MacDonald

Ailie Ormston is a composer and musician from Scotland making experimental electronic music and chamber music. Improvisation and assemblage are the keystones of Ormston’s work, with further interests in timbral abstraction, temporality and pairing hi-fi and lo-fi sound materials.

Kieran Daly is an American composer and guitarist with a concentration in experimental monophonic music. His work focuses on a skeptical, first-principles approach applied across multifarious formal contexts using iterative processes, microtuning and sliding, and pulse salience as morphological determinants.

Laurie Pitt; Percussionist / DJ / producer / music instigator in numerous Glasgow groups  including The Modern Institute, L, Susanna Stark, Super Spreaders, Golden Teacher, Dick 50….. Laurie is performing a new solo set of improvisations on percussion, electronics and zither.
